Joseph Seger was a friend of the Wisler family in Omaha. Augusta WISLER sent for her sister Caroline ROHLFFS to come to America. Joseph married Caroline after his first wife Augusta MENNEKE died.

Joseph married (2) Caroline Helene Christine ROHLFFS.

Caroline Helene Christine Dorathea ROHLFFS, b. 28 Jul 1862, in Neukirchen/Flensburg, Prov. Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. She was the daughter of Christian August ROHLFFS and Friederike Sophia Dorathea STEFFEN. d. 05 Jun 1941, St. Helen, California, buried: Forest Lawn Cem, Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska.

Caroline and Joseph had no children. Caroline raised the children of Augusta Menneke.

Joseph is buried in the Seger family plot, lot 73 section 10, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Omaha, Nebraska.
