She was the daughter of Christian August ROHLFFS and Friederike Sophia Dorathea STEFFEN (children: Emil, Caroline, Magnus). d. 05 Jun 1941, St. Helen, California, buried: Forest Lawn Cem, Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska.

Caroline and Joseph had no children. Caroline raised the four sons of Augusta Menneke.
